September's
Ember
I remember the Darken'd Ember
'Twas then my Heart declined to rise,
that sadden'd day of September,
Hence after to thyn own self dismember'd
'cause it 'twas my Heart you denie.
Like two souls that are One
I am so inclined with you to go,
Tho with your Spirit I can not run,
our magnetic ties laced undone,
I stand broken Heart with broken Bow.
May it be 'twards end of Summer
yet I stand in frigid cold,
frozen solid tho my heart not nummer,
beating louder the steady drummer
for the love I am doomed to hold.
'Twas Day out last I remember,
tho now blacken'd Night.
Life fleet'd that Day of September,
scared away by the blacken'd Ember
that cast Shade on my Ray of Light. |
